Rick Bouchard, LCSW, psychotherapist in private practice, is located at his South Portland-based office. He currently works with adolescents and adults offering individual, family, and couple’s work.

SPECIALTIES INCLUDE:  Mental health and Substance Abuse Issues.  Family therapy, parenting, divorce, blended families, foster care/adoption, termination of parental rights and reunification, adolescent issues including adolescents entering into independent and/or semi-independent living, work-related conflicts and stress, depression, anxiety/OCD, loss/death/dying/grief, HIV/AIDS, as well as sexual orientation, gender, transgender and transsexual issues.  Also works with a variety of relationship and sexual issues, such as, polyamory and BDSM.

SYMBOLIC MODALITIES:  When appropriate, Rick offers symbolic modalities as a means of engaging clients on a symbolic and non-verbal level.  For example, he integrates dream work, the Tarot, bibliotherapy, & writing/journaling for those who are called to it. Attention also paid to spirituality in a person’s life.
